Ken chose to celebrate his 80th
Birthday with us having a little
holiday at the small beachside town
of Mudjimba. It was a fine day when
we arrived on the Monday but the
next morning, Ken’s Birthday,
we woke to light rain. We did try to
have a walk on the beach with
umbrellas but we started to get too wet.
The plan was to have lunch at the local
restaurant so Ken could have a favourite
meal of Carbonara but the business was
closed for renovations. The local store
owner suggested two other places -
Chinese or Thai which were a short
drive away but when we drove to them,
they both were closed on Tuesdays.
So, it was back to the local store that
sold toasted sandwiches for our late
Birthday lunch.
