This was a farewell to the family farm visit for Kev and his family. His grandfather had sold the farm several years earlier but was allowed to rent the farmhouse, living there for 5 more years until the buyer needed the land for capital works. They are standing in front of the dairy building where the main work of the farm was done during its time as a dairy farm. Shortly after this visit, my Dad moved out to live with a grandson. The farm was a delight for all our kids and grandkids with a billabong, hay stacks, machinery shed, animal yards and chutes. It is badly missed but we all have many memories of fun times spent there.....2008
What a great memory/moment documented in your inimitable style. That punched scrap of paper is just beckoning to me. I love its open puka (hole) ends.

Inquiring minds want to know, what is a billabong? Of course all the other fun features on the farm are sure to be a wonderland for kids.

Your style is spectacular. I love the depth that you created, and enjoyed reading the journaling as well.

Mag farewell to the farm...the pretty flowers say "It's been lovely" The banner says "It's been a family success and source of winning financial support...the photo says "generations have enjoyed this family farm"

And your journaling says, "goodbye to our piece of family history with a smile and a tear"

Great photo, so sad when you have to say farewell to a family farm. Love the banner with the buttons and stitching and the paint and stamps you added to the page

I remember when the farm was sold, I think it was around the time I joined our former site. You created one of the most beautiful pages I had ever seen in my life - it was placed in the Hall of Fame! This is another wonderful memory page of your dad's legacy. The layering on this is just gorgeous. You have displayed masterful use of patterned paper choices and splitter-splatters. Your clusters are remarkable, as always. I particularly like the banner with the happy face stitching.
