For our 29th wedding anniversary I asked Greg what’s on his list for places to visit in Colorado and he said he wanted to visit Steamboat Lake State Park.
I’m always up for an adventure so we picked out a hotel and went adventuring. As it turned out our hotel was not very close because I hadn’t looked closely enough at the map, and we weren’t willing to pay $300+ for one night.
We had a beautiful drive from the lake to our hotel, though, including this stunning sunset!

What happened with you about the hotel sounds like something that would happen to me. I really like the picture of the sunset too, as well as the beautiful stitching that you did on the page.
