After a rainy Thursday, the warmer weather on Friday was most welcome. After Jumuah, we decided to explore the other side of the cliff path, walking towards the New Harbour.

My favourite find was Ficks Pool because it was such an unexpected surprise along the trail. The steps up to the top, where the trail continued, however, really took a toll on me as I'm still recovering from cancer & surgery. We rested at the top, and then again on a bench a little way further before I felt fully recovered.

From there the trail had a few unsafe bits, like what I thought was a risky fence holding rocks in place or acting as a barrier between us and a sheer drop. There was also a crumbling wall over a small bridge along the way. I definitely wouldn't bring little kids here, but I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to adults. The views are amazing! The trail easy.

The massive ragged rocks & fiercely crashing seas remind me just how fragile we really are. As we soak in the breathtaking views we are in awe at the strength and beauty of nature, not to mention Her contrasts.

This is an absolute delight in every way. Your pictures are fabulous, you have managed to fit in a ton of pictures and beautifully written journaling. Your descriptions make me want to visit. You have made lovely use of word strips, too! I hope you are recovered from your surgery and wish you the very best of health.

I have nominated it for a BAKERS' BEST here!

WOW! Great photos and interesting journaling. I like how you arranged the photos to fit the journaling. It's great to see all these places without getting off my seat. I also like and thank you for putting a copy of your journaling so it can be read by these old eyes. Congratulations on the nomination for BB, it's well deserved!
