Soccer-Action

Links, Credits & Journaling
JOURNALING: Crew 2 didn’t look too good in the game, but DID manage a goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately NYCFC II scored their lone goal in the 85th minute so each team got a point and we went to the dreaded “penalty shootout.” Our Goalkeeper, Luke Pruter, stopped the 4th man he faced (J. Lacher - the goal scorer for NYCFC) thereby giving the “Capybaras” the extra point. PICTURES: 1. Captain Chris Rogers. 2. Brent Adu-Gyamfi backs up Isaac Tortola. 3. Nico Rincon displays some fancy footwork. 4. Cristian Ortiz scored in the 80th minute. 5. Goal Keeper, Luke Pruter, credited with 5 saves in the game.

Great action photos! I like the themed elements you used and the title and journaling at the top.

What a game! Crew2 have had problems scoring ANY goals lately, so, when I saw Cristian Ortiz make a great pass to another player who nearly scored for Crew2, I told my sister they should just get the ball to Ortiz and let HIM try to score (which he did in minute 80!). That "shootout" is such a nail-biter in the MLSNEXT PRO games, but it was SO EXCITING to see Luke Pruter stop NYCFCII's goal scorer Julien Larch's penalty shot, WONDERFUL. And, to top the night off, we got to see Josh Williams (my favorite former Crew player, now the assistant coach to Crew2) as the acting "head coach" for the entire game. AND we got to see Brian Bliss (my FIRST-EVER favorite Crew player, way back in 1996!) who is now heads the Crew Academy!!!
LOVE your action shots and all of the soccer-themed elements on this layout.
