Caroline Ingalls

Journaling reads:
I don’t think I am as wonderful as the Caroline Ingalls we see on television, but I would like to be. She was beautiful, slender, brave, a teacher, and a pioneer. She juggled difficulties in life and came out on top, and was an amazing mother.

In some ways, there are similarities. She was a woman of strong faith. She had five children and had experienced the loss of one of them. I knew the loss of two. She went through a lot of hardships in her life, but stayed strong and an influential figure in her children’s lives. In those ways, I feel a kinship with her.
