When I looked for a place to stay in Paris, my goal was to find something reasonably priced, clean and safe but also close enough that I could walk to my meetings and not have to rely on metro schedules. The hotel I found was 300m from UNESCO headquarters and had excellent reviews online. It was also exactly within my budget for daily expenses. I was a little bit concerned about how small it might be - 36 rooms across six floors - but it turned out to be excellent although nothing nearly as spacious as what I have stayed in on trips to other countries. The location was perfect - just a bit across and down from Ecole Militaire which meant I was also right at the Ecole Militaire metro station. I would stay there again in a heartbeat because everyone was so friendly and made me feel both safe and at home!
