I've been to Victoria, BC many times, both for work and for fun, so I have seen a lot of what there is to see. Or so I thought. Even though it was raining and I didn't want to go out, I braved the weather and started exploring. It was windy and cold because it's so close to the water. After about an hour, for the first time in over a week, there were finally patches of blue sky. First I found a waterfall that I didn't know about. Then when looking how to get back to the hotel, I noticed on the map that there was a road going through water. That's odd, I thought. Figured I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. On one side of the road was the Esquimalt Lagoon, and the other side was the Salish Sea and on the beach were several driftwood sculptures. I love discovering new things.
