Oh, I love reading your journaling. This sounds like me. I flunked sewing in Jr High and later, taking a class I sewed the armhole liners in backwards. I like your sewing machine with all the flowers on it. Good use for a climbing plant. I also love the font you used, it's so easy to read.

Wonderful layout, love that you scrapped something that you struggle with. I love all the journaling with mininal elements to allow the stroy to be the highlight of your page. BRAVO!

love the full journaling on your page and the shadowing is spectacular as are the borders

I enjoyed reading your story. My Granny could sew her heart out and I always appreciated her hand made items. In Girl Scouts I hand sewed a pink bird ornament, which I still hang on my tree every year (that was back in 1977-1978 when I was 7-8 yrs old). When I was 21 I bought my first sewinig machine, which I still use actually. I'm so petite that all my skirts/pants need to be shortened so I needed to learn to sew. I remember when I got married I saw a beautiful bed quilt and it was very expensive, and I said....I can sew that! And I taught myself quilting, long before youtube and crafty blogs. For the past 15 years I've been quilting and sewing clothing items, as well as home gifts, holiday gifts and bags of all kinds. I just love it. I wish I will have a long arm one day for quilting but for now I manage on my sewing machines that I currently have. My advice is ..... do it. Just learn to do it. You will NOT be a master sewer overnight but you will get better and better right before your own eyes. Get a good quality sharp seam ripper because you're going to be good friends. Start off simple with making pillow cases for holidays that you can swap off the pillow insert. Then go from there.... before you know it, you'll be making all those things you dream of. And there are phenominal classes in person and online that can help you. You can do it!!!
