As Time goes By

Wow these sorts of things you read about, wish it would happen to you but it never would...but it did to your parents. How wonderful! Your father's words somehow resonated with me...I had not thought of it like that but as much as I too would regret destroying the diaries and letters I do see his point especially as they weren't family or ancestors. Somehow reading one's family history through diaries and letters seems like a natural thing to do. Whilst seeing, and somewhat agreeing with your father (probably more than I would like to admit) I have devoured non-fiction books that rely heavily on that very thing.
