A New Christmas Tradition

Oh my...I can relate to this as well. My childhood memories of the family getting together and enjoying my mom's cooking and opening of gifts will live with me forever. But like you said...times change and some Christmas go lacking for getting together as each family has mulitple committments etc.

I love your journaling and your story is so true for many people. Our Christmas dinners have changed quite a bit as well. As we all got older, we married and had families of our own. Some of us have moved out of state for jobs and such, so it really isn't the same. Just love the ones you are with and pray the rest are safe.
