My grandmother wasn't particularly religious. When we buried her, we put a heart on her grave, and a cardinal on her funerary announcments because we couldn't think of anything which better represented her. Seeing cardinals makes me cry, every time.

Ah- loved the touching journaling. And even though you don't understand the reasoning, it is just really special to have something that sparks a remembrance. I like thee layering arrangement of both the matting paper border and the photos.
