Bonneyville Mill 9-1-25
We had a nice afternoon with Calvin & Rosie on Labor Day
going from park to park in Middlebury and then to Bonneyville Mill in Bristol. As we walked along the paths stream we found so many Touch Me Nots. “Also known as Jewelweed, this native wildflower is valued for its legendary healing qualities. These unique orange flowers dangle from fragile stems, and the ripe seedpods explode upon touch.” There are also a lot of these at the Wellfield and both kiddos have so much fun finding the ones with the swollen seed pods, gently squeezing them and watching them pop open and the seeds fly into the air. They also had fun climbing onto this old cement pillar which must be left from an old building of some kind. 9/1/25
