What a fun expression, and perfect for the challenge. Our downtown Honolulu area is in the midst of some big store closures, too. We're all worried about crime and homeless in the vacant spaces.
I like how readable your journaling still is against the patterned paper bg.

Magnificent how you created this page to resemble an ad for the store with loads of big lettering, dramatic colors, enticing verbiage...all to lure the shopper to come and splurge. You got the vibes perfect!

I think this is something that is happening everywhere, and it is quite sad. The worst, at least here where I live, is that it is the discount stores that are closing down.
