Here on California’s central coast we don’t exactly get much cold weather even in winter, but this winter is really odd. We are in the midst of a Severe Weather Heat Advisory with temperatures about 20-30° higher than normal. So when I was walking our dog early one morning, she was doing her usual sniffing exploration when I saw this little cat under a bush in a yard. Our dog was raised with a gray tabby just like this one so she didn’t even give it a second glance. That gave me time to pull out my phone and snap a picture of how one little creature was beating the heat.
