We had our first glamp-out with the dogs this week. We went to Dam West in Carlyle. We had a fence so the dogs didn’t have to be on a leash. After practicing getting up and down the steps, the dogs were set! They love “supervising” me cook on the fire. Maggie and Molly were able to jump on the bed so spent part of the nights laying in bed with us. That made for poor night’s sleep because they took up the whole bed! We had a friend visit (a duck) and the dogs loved to watch it. I am grateful they mind the fence and don’t try to jump over it. We went for a few walks every day and walked along the lake. It was a lot of work to prepare for this trip. It’s like having kids- you have so much extra gear, toys, treats, and supplies to keep track of, but totally worth it! It was a huge success. I hope we go camping a lot more in the future.6/1/2025 to 6/5/2025
