April in Fiji marks the end of cyclone season, the end of the hot and humid season and the start of the dryer, cooler weather that translates into peak season for tourism. Fiji is a warm getaway for Australians and New Zealanders who are entering into the colder winter months and living in Suva we took advantage of what the area had to offer. In April 2017 we spent a weekend at The Pearl at Pacific Harbour and since Laura had her open water diving certificate, she and Jason went on an Aquatrek Shark dive. The morning they went was beautiful and clear and the dive shop outfitted everyone and tested all the equipment before the boat moved out into Beqa Lagoon.
