Your page caught my eye. New Mexico, where I live, has an obolisk monument on I25 in honor of the Mormon Battalion's travels through NM. I remember seeing it all the time when we'd travel from Santa Fe to Albuquerque. One day I noticed it was missing and I was so glad when it was errected again. I often stop to look at it.
