You never know when
a simple gesture will be
your last. On the day that
Judy died, a CNA at the Nursing
Home where she lives brought her
a flower and tucked it behind her ear
as she lay in bed. She is on hospice. She
died later that day, with this flower still
in her hair. She will take it up to Heaven
with her. Every time I see this flower, I
think about our last moments with her,
seeing this made watching her pass away
just a tad bit easier.
