Journaling:
My best friend and I met in nursery school when we were about 3 years old. We were together for nursery, primary and high school, and even the 1st year of varsity. Her mom was our creche teacher so she looked after us the mornings till we started primary school. My mom watched us in the afternoons. All through primary school and the start of high school, we were in Madrassah together Monday to Thursday afternoons. Friday afternoons we did chores around the house, then we could play. Every afternoon her Dad would fetch her on his way home from work. In high school though, her Dad would pick me and my nephew up and drop all 3 of us at school on his way to work. We would generally take a taxi or walk home after school. We followed a similar routine till I changed direction after finishing 1st year OT.

Funny enough, even though we were best friends, at school we each had our own friendship that we spent most of our time with. But
when the bell rang, we'd meet and head home together, enjoying
our time together, a bit like siblings I guess LOL

While we don't see each other as much these days, we are blessed to still be Besties all these years later
