1st Year of Many

Doug started his baseball path at the age of 5. His first team sponsor was Big V Drugstore. His practices took place in the back of Amherstburg Public School. As a first time "baseball Mom", it was so heartwarming to see him so excited about it, as were his dad and I. Since that day in 1984, I have spent many, many, many hours at ball diamonds. Doug hung up his glove in 2023, after 39 years. The reason for the end of his ball, was the beginning of his 5 year old son's, start of his baseball adventure. Dad had to coach of course!
