I've watched quite a few things since my last update!

Today I watched a documentary called The Barkley Marathons (Amazon Prime) I loved it!! My cousin is an ultra marathoner, so it was fun to watch and think of him and all the crazy stuff he does. Here is a description. The Barkley Marathons is an infamous, invitation-only ultramarathon held annually at Frozen Head State Parkin Tennessee. Known as "The Race That Eats Its Young," runners must navigate an unmarked, grueling 100-mile course (five 20-mile loops) with over 60,000 feet of elevation gain within a strict 60-hour time limit.

I binged the new show called Half Man, I hesitate to even recommend it. It was hard to watch. If you watched Baby Reindeer, it is a similar vibe. That being said, it is captivating. Richard Gadd is a brilliant actor! His performance had me totally glued to the tv. It is raw and powerful, but pretty tough to watch and very unsettling.
Here is a description. Half Man is a powerful six-part drama from Richard Gadd, the creator of Baby Reindeer. The series follows Ruben and Niall, two men who were raised like brothers despite not being related, as their complicated relationship unfolds over three decades. Starring Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell, the show explores themes of masculinity, trauma, identity, friendship, and the lasting impact of childhood experiences. Intense, emotional, and often unsettling, Half Man is a character-driven drama that examines how the people closest to us can shape - and sometimes damage - our lives

I'm 2 episodes into a documentary series called The Dark Wizard, it is mesmerizing! If you like any extreme sports, you will enjoy this!!

The Dark Wizard follows the remarkable and controversial life of extreme athlete Dean Potter, whose record-breaking climbs, daring highlines, and fearless adventures made him a legend in the outdoor world. The documentary explores both his incredible accomplishments and the personal challenges behind his larger-than-life reputation.

We binged The Boroughs on Netflix, it was pretty entertaining.
The Boroughs follows a group of retirees who discover that their quiet retirement community is hiding a dangerous supernatural secret. Part mystery, part sci-fi thriller, the series combines spooky twists, humor, and an engaging cast of unlikely heroes.

Oh we also went to the moves to see Backrooms. It was freaky and so unsettling in the best way!!
Chan (my 26 year old son) and I loved it. Isabelle (my 29 year old daughter) was board. Justin (my 30 year old son-in-law) liked it.

I really love the lore of Backrooms! I love that the director was just a self taught kid putting stuff on YouTube and A24 found him and offered him the opportunity to make a feature film. And it is so cool that is made over $118 million opening weekend with a 10 million budget! I love when a "small and unknown" does something extraordinary!

Hubby and I have been watching the new K-Drama "My royal nemesis." They release an episode every Friday and every Saturday, so two episodes each week. We also watched the AFI Lifetime Achievement award for Eddie Murphy. It was really fun and they showed how his comedy and serious action actually helped change our culture. We very much enjoyed that.

That looks so cute! I little bit like Freaky Friday (which I loved).

I'd love to go see this! I'll probably just wait till it comes out on streaming, unless my son and I need something to do on our road trip next week!

I haven't been watching much lately because I've been reading a lot. Pretty much just Call The Midwife the last week or so. It's so good, and it's one that I can watch while scrapping or designing without losing track of what's going on. I tend to pick really long running series so I don't have to figure out what to watch every day! There are so many options I get overwhelmed.

I want to watch The Iron Claw when I have a chance to sit and actually pay attention to something. One of my boys watched it and liked it.

Ive been wondering about The Boroughs, Ill add to my list, Thanks

I finished Mount Pleasant, at least almost theres 1 last episode but what do you know that is "not available at this time"

Watched Unchosen on Netflix, it has 6 episodes and is about a religious village that keep away from the outside world. Then a stranger comes by.
Its gripping, there is some violence and some parts that might be triggering for some. It certainly was triggering for me in the religious aspect. I was brought up as a Jehovah's Witness and its very soul squashing. Thankfully I am no longer in that cult.
It is a good watch , I kinda predicted the end.

I LOVE Call the Midwife! It is one of my all time favorite shows and recently rewatched all of the seasons and can't wait for the new one to stream.

Now that the regular season shows are over I am watching reruns of ER which I watched back when it was originally on but since that was long before streaming and was on quite a long time ago much of it is brand new to me since I only remember bits and pieces. Who knew that Noah Wiley would return with such a big hit on The Pitt all of these years later. (Love that show and am really looking forward to the next season.)
I always tend to pick one 30 minute sitcom to also watch so have chosen Big Bang Theory to watch over the summer. So goofy but it always makes me laugh. My last sitcom was the Golden Girls.
Now that Brillian Minds is back on I will watch the last episodes of this season but just found out it was cancelled so won't come back next season. It is kind of disappointing but part of me isn't surprised to find it wasn't renewed.

Oh the Big Bang Theory is great! That would be one I would re-watch. Sometimes, I will go back and start to rewatch a show only to find that it hasn't really aged well. LOL! But TBBT is timeless! LOL!

If you like scary movies, you should check out Obsession!! We saw it the other night and it was so good!
The suspense was well done, it wasn't just cheap gore and endless jump scares. Don't get me wrong, there was gore, but it wasn't non-stop or over done, which makes it actually impactful in my opinion. The tension kept building in all the right ways, I actually gasped out loud more than once. If you're a fan of thrillers I highly recommend Obsession. Definitely one of my favorite horror watches lately!

Synopsis : After breaking the mysterious "One Wish Willow" to win his crush's heart, a hopeless romantic gets exactly what he asked for. However, he soon discovers that some desires come at a dark and sinister price.

I've read all of Elle's Briar U books, so it would be very strange if I missed Off Campus :) I'm about to finish the episodes of the first season, and I'm eagerly awaiting the second season, I think that if they're gonna adapt all the books from the Briar U collection for the screen, they'll have to make at least 6 seasons.

@Grace. Off Campus was so good! I just bought the first book, excited to dive into that series!

Did you watch Every Year After on amazon prime? I read the Every Summer After book and follow up One Golden Summer.
The books and show were VERY different, but there was still enough remaining that I enjoyed the show.

I just love limited series, it means you dont have to remember to keep watching

The Witness -Netflix - Limited Series
Based on a true story, the murder of Rachel Nickell In UK, from the perspective of her partner and child.
Very good, I enjoyed it, Worth a watch!

The Survivors - Netflix - Limited Series
Drama based in Australia, Revisiting a murder mystery that took place 15 years prior.
Set in a small town where everyone knows everyones business, or do they?
Worth a watch!

I'm a reality/food/sports junkie. My tv is typically tuned into Food Network or ESPN. I'm currently watching Guy's Big Bite, BBQ Brawl, Flavortown Food Fight among others. My most favorite summer show is Big Brother! I cannot wait for July!!

@GingerScraps I watched Every year after pero no he leído el libro

Yes I watched the first season of Every year after too, and I enjoyed the way Amazon adapted the plot, same happened with Off Campus, so now intriguing me how the plot is gonna continue on the second season of Every year after and Off Campus, because the books are different, in both series I saw that they handled the creation of the conflict more, in addition there were changes that had to be made to correspond with the current era, because otherwise it would not be believable.

When They See Us - Netflix
I have no words about this drama about the Central Park Five as they became known as in 1989. Its such a sad story about 5 young men of color who were coerced into confessing a crime they didnt commit.
Its brutal but a definite need to watch.
Edit: This is one of those dramas that will stick with you and you will continue to think about. My heart is broken for them.
5/5

Maternal Instinct - Netflix

Police pull over a woman who claims she just gave birth. But the baby — and the blood — aren't hers. Twisted lies unravel in this true-crime documentary.

Scary Shit/Crazy Woman

4/5

I'm about to start watching the final season of The Handmaid's Tale. I saw the other 5 seasons a while back on Star Channel, and...the horror, they didn't broadcast season 6. And now that the series is on Netflix and they added season 6 to the other 5, I'm finally able to watch. 🥳
I'm also waiting for Avatar: Fire&Ash. Loved the other two movies, so I'm curious for this one.
Also continuing to watch Grey's Anatomy... almost at the end of season 5... 17 more seasons to go.

Have any of you watched Voicemails For Isabelle?
Jill leaves voice messages to her deceased sister telling her about her chaotic life in San Francisco. Unwittingly, a mysterious Austin real estate agent begins to receive their confessions.

This one absolutely wrecked me. I was in full-on ugly-cry mode more than once! But beneath all the heartbreak is a beautiful love story, and the ending was so touching and satisfying. It left me smiling through my tears. 🥹

If you don't mind an emotional roller coaster, I highly recommend it. ❤️

I saw the teaser for that show and that alone told me I would be in tears if I watched it. Thanks for the recommendation!

Currently, the only thing I've really watched are reels on Facebook! LOL! If you need a smile, I recommend Cooking with Carter. He's the sweetest little chef with the cutest accent who teaches you how to cook his favorite recipes! It's just a sweet, uplifting series: https://www.facebook.com/Cookingwithcarterofficial
