LilyAnn, could you not feel the premature contractions? When I have them it feels like someone is kicking me in the sternum from the inside. They also can play games with your blood pressure. There are lots of things that can cause them, most of them easily treated. So we'll all hope for that! Enjoy your vacation, but not too much.
There must be coyotes out on the golf course. The dogs are going nuts!
Glee, I envy you your moonlit beach walk. We're usually socked in when there's any kind of celestial phenomena. We got really lucky when we were in Jamaica for our daughter's (first) wedding. Not only did we see the full moon, we were able to walk on the beach - with about half the other guests at the resort.
Michi, when our oldest daughter was in Grade 12, one of her IB teachers called her Gina at the beginning of the year and he just couldn't seem to remember that her name was actually Amanda. He had a classroom mascot, a papier-maché parrot that he treasured. Amanda and two of her friends bird-napped the parrot on the last day of classes. Somehow it ended up at our house being fitted for a tux... At convocation the bird was passed from graduate to graduate. We were at the post-ceremony reception when we heard this thunderous "Where's the bird, Gina?!! I know you have it! Return it to me at ONCE!!!" Amanda didn't react. It was so funny! He eventually was reunited with his parrot and Gina went on with her life.
Sylfie, I hope you're able to get on top of that work situation and that your coworkers start pulling their weight. It's so unfair when one person carries the whole department.
Shana, your friend clearly will be missed. I think it's amazing that people felt like they could laugh about the funny anecdotes and not feel it was disrespectful. To me, it reflects his personality and how well-loved he was.
Lynnie, your grandson's lucky to have the opportunity for speech intervention. It'll be a slog for you though. I'm sorry to hear your husband is unwell. Sometimes life happens all at once.
I'm on Season 4 of Schitt's Creek and I'm ashamed to say I let my inherent snobbery prevent me from watching it sooner. I've long believed the only thing CBC ever did right was Hockey Night in Canada. I was SO wrong! BTW... Canada has produced all the truly funny people in existence...
