*NEW for 2019* Bakers' Best / Layout of the Week Guidelines - Please Read

Hello GS family!

We are putting some new guidelines in place for Bakers' Best nominations for 2019, which will begin with the thread that will be posted on 1/6/19. Many of the rules posted below have not changed; the changes are highlighted in red. Please reach out to me with any questions. Thank you!

Please only nominate ONE scrapper per week.I know it can be tempting with SO MANY lovely LO's in the gallery, but you'll have to restrain yourselves lol. Otherwise, the poll has the potential to become really overwhelming.

Please be sure to put the NAME OF THE SCRAPPER in your nomination post. The BIGGER, the better. That way, we can avoid multiple nominations for the same scrapper. Only one per week is allowed... so if the same scrapper is nominated more than once, only the first LO goes into the poll.

Please provide a link to the LO in the gallery, either embedded (ie clickable when clicking on the LO) or below it. Otherwise, I have to go searching for it to add it to the poll.

Please try to refrain from nominating pages by designers and CT members. While their work is beautiful, they are not eligible to win the prize. We would prefer to see other scrappers' work displayed for the contest.

Please nominate LO's that contain products from our amazing Gingerscraps designers! While we love seeing all pages that scrappers post in our gallery, we especially want to recognize the talents of the designers that we have here at GS. Only pages with Gingerscraps products will be eligible for our LOTW prize.

Could you also please remind scrappers that the credits don't always "take". If added on the second page of the upload process it tends to work better. I know it's extra work, but it will really help if the credits are listed.

so, does only Sugar cookies (praise team) can nominate, or we "others" can too? I did nominate few layouts last year that I really like, noone seemed to mind it.

The credits were missing for my nomination this week(1/6-1/12) but down in the Additional Information box the scrapper listed two current GS Designers so I figured that might meet the criteria....hopefully.

Sorry for the delay.... I just subscribed to this thread, so now I will get notifications if anyone has a question.

Since the designers were listed in the additional info, that is fine. It would be great to still contact the scrapper anyway; chances are that she doesn't realize that her credits didn't save. The more people we can let know about the glitch in the system, the better. Thanks Jill!

Hi, Guama, kitchen assistant here. I’ve had two of my layouts submitted for Baker’s Best since joining in November 2018. I’m really thrilled that they were chosen but I’m not sure how it all works and if there is a prize. Is there somewhere I can find this information? Im still feeling my way around the forum and don’t know where to look.

Annu- you can nominate designers and Creative Team members. It is nice to recognize their lovely pages but they receive Honorable Mention only. Their layouts are not included in the voting poll.

Lori, I think you may need to message the new Cookies cuz they don't understand that GS CT members and designers shouldn't really be nominated. I don't think they are reading this chain, just that initial new guidelines post where you did NOT say it. Just a thought.

Thank you...I don't know who all of the new Cookies are, but I assumed that they would get this information from the Lead Cookie or from others of you who have been doing this for awhile.
