WHAT IS YOUR......?

...favourite scrapbook element? Other than photos, paper, templates, what is your go to element that you use more than any other? Is it flowers? Ribbons? String? Or are there too many to list?

In my previous scrapbooking life at DSP, alphas and brackets gave me the most satisfaction, I used an alpha title for almost every LO I did. Here in my second digi life, I have moved away from both of these elements a bit and now I am in love with scatters! Scatters of anything...beads, confetti, stars, paint splats....
(confession: I know they are excluded but I am also in love with templates but had scarcely ever used them prior to my life here)

What scrapbooking element are YOU in love with?

My absolute favorite is templates...I rarely scrap without them.

My favorite elements are flowers & leaves (cuz you can't use flowers without leaves!). I use flowers on everything. I sometimes wonder if I should simplify my scrapping so I can get caught up, but then I start scrapping and the flowers just seem to pile themselves on the page!

I have noticed your beautiful floral work and am in awe. I hear you re the piling themselves onto the page. I have trouble letting a LO go, I am enjoying myself so much that I keep adding something here, nudging something there.....I would be HOPELESS as a CT!!! I really admire minimalistic LOs but have so much trouble creating them myself:)

Aaaw, thanks, Jill! :)
I'm such a slow scrapper...I'm not exactly how I do it being on so many CTs! :(

I am liking flowers too..even on my boy layouts but strings would be a favorite. My top though would be word bits. I love adding them my pages lately.

Templates for sure just like Tammy. I love flowers too but I also really love Metal things, buttons or what not though I find myself always wanting Metal on my page but rarely putting it on! Weird.

I love templates and flowers and themed ellies, but I love some good STITCHES!! They don't seem to be too popular right now, but I do love them!

I am not sure if I have a favorite...I like it all. Not overly a fan of flowers on boy pages.

So, I think my most favorite is including a themed element. Very few of my pages come thru without some sort of theme item.

Other than that, I use alphas a ton and like to use flowers with leaves. I find that I use flat ribbon rarely, but will include string or curling ribbon. On boys pages, I like to have metal bits - gears, etc. On Disney pages, I like to have a hidden Mickey.

I rarely do a page without a template. It is like my crutch. My favorite paper is a burst, but I must have solids. When there isn't a solid, it drives me crazy.

The themed element is a good one Meagan, I am loving those since I came here to GS.

Well, they aren't really an element, but definitely templates! I am a template junkie. I think I have far more than I will ever use... Ooops! Otherwise, flowers. It took me a while to get the hang of clustering elements, but now I just enjoy having flower clusters on my LOs. :)

Oh yes! I forgot about stitches. Years ago (i.e. 2007-2008 when I was previously scrapping) I used stitches a lot. As you say, they don't seem to be as popular now, so I'm not using them as much (as I do tend to use just one kit at a time)

I love flowers and leaves, but besides those, I love using clouds if there are any in the kit or some cute animal ellies :)

Flowers, but not realistic looking flowers, I like the paper looking ones that resemble the gigantic stash of paper supplies I have stashed in my garage LOL. I love the look of buttons and brads attached to the centers. I almost always use a ribbon too.
