RECIPES!!

I wanna know how they turn out too. I am the only one who like pb so have to say it is good before I will make the effort. I am making the skillet chocolate chip cookie and the mini poptarts today :)

I didnt get a chance to make them yet - was trying to scrap myself happy - LOL! Instead just got cranky at the kids for interrupting me...LOL

I'm having a pity party becuase my back still hurts and I can't do the things I want to :( I asked the chiro if I could go biking (my one night of week that I get to have time w/o the kids) and she said absolutely not - I could only go for 15 minutes - not the 1.5 hours that I'd like. I havent exercised in over a week, I feel like I'm gaining all my weight back I worked so hard to lose, and my ILs are leaving tomorrow for 10 days (which is nice - but that also means our sitter is leaving...) Ugh. So it's 9p, kids are al in bed, hubby is biking (turd...) and i'm debating about jsut giong to bed...

I'm really sorry Trina - I do hope that darn back of yours heals soon! They sure do take forever, don't they! Don't be so hard on yourself for not exercising! You're injured! Unless you've been sitting on the couch and literally NOT moving and stuffing your face - you won't gain all that weight back! (which I know you haven't been cuz I seem to recall you being yelled at for trying to clean...lol)

I have to thank you for making me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes! Don't know why, but you calling your husband a "turd" just struck my funny bone!!

You'll get back to biking in no time! If you need a break and want to drive 5 ours down by me, I can watch your kids! (If only, right!)

LOL! Well you made me literally LAUGH OUT LOUD - sitting her bymyself - LOL! I figured "turd" was a nice word for him right now :) It's not fair, I wish he'd be stuck home too - and help clean...UGH! I know, it takes time, and patience, but ugh. I dont think it helps that my hormones are all messed up still - Evan's almost 6 mos - and his sleep pattern keeps changing, which is messing up things!!

Do you girls know of any sites that do free menu planning? It's something I'm really trying to get into, but I keep getting stumped up : (

Cari, Jacque & Sarah all wanted to know what Toad in the Hole is...so here is a recipe :D

It's delicious but incredibly fattening and such a faff to make LOL

Bon Appetite!

I do a lazy version of this recipe. I do everything for this in a frying pan. I use a slice of buttered bread cut a hole in the center of the bread and drop the egg mixture in the hole. The circle cut outs also get placed in the frying pan. Kids love it. They have the egg in the middle of the toast and then they have the circle toast cut outs.

Yay, thanks Irene! :D

You're welcome!

They're called ox-eye eggs and are nothing like Toad in the Hole ;)

Hmmm my step mother must of been lying all this time....that's what she told us they were called when we were kids.....but it doesn't matter anymore I never see her anyways.

What you make is called ox-eye eggs over here...it could be like ummmmm Jelly/Jam and Jello/Jelly...? lol

It is officially fall in the USA, and one of my favorite fall recipes is Apple slices with Caramel. Home made caramel is EASY, and very yummy.

1 stick of real butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream (or milk, but milk will make the caramel get harder)
2 TBSP light corn syrup
A dash of salt

Put everything into a saucepan. If you have one with a heavy bottom, that works best, but any will work. Turn the heat on medium. Stir it together with a wisk as the butter melts, but once the butter is completely melted stop stirring and just let it cook. It will bubble and look slightly foamy. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes. DO NOT STIR during that time. At all. It's hard to do, but don't do it. Use this time to get a glass bowl or some other non-plastic container for your extremely hot caramel. Your caramel will start to turn slightly darker, sometimes getting streaks of darker brown in it. Take it off of the heat and pour into the bowl or other container you got ready. DO NOT LET ANY OF THE CARAMEL TOUCH YOUR SKIN. I am not joking, it will blister you immediately. It is HOT. Give it a few minutes to cool off before you touch it, and even then use caution. It will stay pourable/dippable for about 20-30 minutes before setting up. Adding more cream to the recipe will lengthen this time, and 1/2 a cup of heavy cream will keep it soft.

This caramel is also fantastic for pouring over popcorn. If you want to get creative, add a little pumpkin spice to the mix as well.

YUM April!!

Now I'm hungry!! Lol. You must make the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes posted at Kevin and Amanda!!

So guess what I do cuz I'm a cheater ;)
I use a box of French vanilla cupcake mix, and store bought cookie dough.
I freeze the dough.... The stuff in the percut cubes of dough, then cut each piece in half.
So the cupcake making part is really barely more work them regular cupcakes.
BUT you must make the frosting they share the recipe for!! It is amazing yummy :)
I will come back later and edit with a link... I'm in bed on my iPod. Lol

OMG...this sounds amazing!!! I crave sweets!!! I think I might pick up a box of brownie mix for dessert tonight. Hot warm brownies with vanilla ice cream on top!!!!!
