I just upgraded to windows 11. When I look at my folders. all my previews are missing and I have nothing but blank folders. Anyone know how to get the image of the "folder" back?

I just did a HUGE update yesterday...and I was pleasantly surprised to see some folder previews!!!
I updated my work computer yesterday as well...it was a super quick update though, and it did not effect the folder previews...so kinda bummed about that.

I got an update a couple of weeks ago, and noticed the same thing! I was so excited, dancing in my chair, and hubby looked at me like I was crazy. But for digiscrappers, this is awesome news!

Make sure you are completely updated on all of the most recent windows 11 updates and patches and if so the previews in the folders should show. However it only shows a "half" a preview, kind of like a folder with the paper sticking up, not the whole preview like it used to be.
I just recently got a new laptop and so am also new to Windows 11 but even with Windows 10 I was so sick of how the Windows file explorer worked with scrapbook related files that I decided to start looking for alternatives. I now use Directory Opus instead of Windows file explorer and it is so much nicer and was so worth the money. I am only using the light version so it still used Windows file explorer for some things but mostly I use Opus to browse, choose and organize my files. And unzipping... wow... it is a breeze! It so customizable and makes it so easy to keep things organized.
If you have some extra money to spend I would highly look into this program. Support is great too.

its not the folder preview its the thumbnails of pngs and jpg in kit

What are you seeing instead of the previews of the contents of the kit? That seems odd that you aren't seeing the thumbnails of each image. In the "view" tab at the top of file explorer make sure you are set to one of the "icon" views.
