......sharpens their LOs for the web? Do you have a favourite sharpening action or routine? Lovely member bekfek generously shared with me the steps she uses to sharpen her LOs before uploading..her work is always so crisp and neat which prompted me to ask her what her method was. What do YOU do? Care to share your favourite sharpening action or routine with us?

I use CS6 and after resizing to the 600 x 600 72DPI I use filter - Sharpen - unsharp mask with settings of Amount 84% Radius 0.3 and Threshold 0
then I use "save for the web"

I have a "save for web" action that I downloaded free from a designer at another site. It includes a sharpening step. I sometimes will sharpen with the unsharp mask if the action gives me results I don't like.

Jill , thankyou for posing this question as I have now created an action for doing this for myself.

Good for you Anne-Marie, you are a cleverer (is there such a word? there is now:)) lady than I am. I rely on others to take care of such matters for me:)

Anyone else wanting to share their sharpening skills/actions/routines with us?

I do. I love to have my layouts look a little sharp and crispy so I saved the action I'm using as "save for web" as it's what I normallly see online. Saves time and makes me not forget a step :)

I've used a saving action set from Wendyzine for years and years. It saves it as a high res jpeg for printing and a small version for the web. Both sharpen and pop the colors a little, but you can adjust things.

I have an action that I got years ago - can't remember where and I'm not at home to check. I always run it before saving a layout - for web or for printing.

I sharpen, but the designer who made the action that I use has retired. Sorry, that's no help to you, though.
