Now that COVID is a little more under control are you planning to travel this summer? Share your travel plans with us!

I just got back from a week in Alaska and it was absolutely fabulous! Lots of gorgeous views, hiking and cool weather. In July my husband and I are headed to Maine to Acadia National Park for a long weekend.

What about you?

I sure hope we will get a little traveling done this year. I love taking road trips and visit historical places, new towns and just see new things. Usually we go somewhere that our genealogical research has led us. It's still not decided here in Sweden how much we will be able to travel, but hubby doesn't get his vacation until mid July, so we're in no rush deciding. Most likely we will only be doing short road trips over the day, but we'll see.

I sure MISS our road trips!

Not going anywhere outside of the country as we a have too many cases right now. I will be going to stay with my daughter for a couple of weeks - to look after my grandchildren! Otherwise I will be at home reading and scrapbooking! I am lucky that I live somewhere close to beautiful coutryside and the beach.

The last week of June, I go to a little place called Hindeloopen in the Dutch province of Friesland. We go there to walk along the lakes and visit small towns. And if it rains we will visit some musea.
In August we will go to Germany. We have rented an appartment in Homburg, a little town in Saarland. It is close to Luxumburg and close to the Vogezen in France. Really looking forward to it.

We are taking a Riverboat Cruise from Nashville > Louisville- 8 nights I think. Praying the covid testing stays negative. Feeling fine and vaccinated.

Its winter here in the southern hemisphere & next week is the start of winter school holidays.
We don't have much planned as there have been a few outbreaks in other states & we really can't afford to get caught in a 2 week lock down so it will be home grown fun with some t-shirt dying & walks at the local parks with our new fur baby.
We also have a day camp event out at the obstacle course we work at, hoping fir a few hundred kids to come out & have fun in the mud.
We are still in the middle of revamping our friends fleet of 30+ vehicles to their new branding so can't go too far until we finish those off.

I would really like to go to the ocean this summer, but because of COVID there is a problem with finances. This summer will have to be spent at home. I think I can do a lot of useful things at home. We bought irrigation controllers, I really want to get a good harvest this year. Found such a cool device in a blog post.

Found cheap flights to Fairbanks, Alaska (minneapolis to Fairbanks $200 round trip). And my husband will be hiking part of the continental divide through Yellowstone so will drop him off and have a couple of days to myself....Have been to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons before....anyone have suggestions for other small hikes in the area that wouldn't be as filled with people?
