What's the weirdest thing you've scrapbooked?

I think this goes under the category of "only a scrapbooker would think this is funny".

So my husband has a mouse in his office... and not the computer kind.

He's been sending me pictures of the mouse's adventures today. Because he understands my love of photos of weird things. (Though he doesn't always approve of it)

So of course I think "That's going in my December Daily today!" and I do a search for a Christmas kit with a mouse. And hey, there is one!

Although this one is also super cute, because who can resist a mouse in a hula skirt, right?

But as I continue to search, I start thinking that maybe most people's first thoughts upon hearing there's a mouse in their husband's office might not be "Oooh I need to scrapbook that!"

Which makes me wonder... whats the weirdest thing you've scrapbooked? Or most embarrassing. Or just funny. Or all of the above....

I love this! I giggled. I can't think of anything weird that I've scrapbooked. I'll have to think some more!

ha ha. That is awesome Jennifer.
I am like Colleen. I cannot think of anything "weird" that I have scrapped over the past 9 years.
Well, my hubby thinks scrapping potty training my son was weird.

Lots of people think my Sphynx cats are "weird." I guess the "weirdest" thing I have scrapped is a layout of our Sphynx cats' eyes (all three of them). I, obviously, don't think they are "weird" but I do acknowledge that many people think hairless cats are "weird." All I can say is that anyone who has ever met one of our Sphynx in person has become completely entranced by them. They certainly make a positive impression in person. People are always surprised at how friendly they are and how soft they feel. But Sphynx are known for their friendliness, for being outgoing, and for being extremely soft to touch. I blame "Friends" and assorted other Hollywood properties for their poor reputation.

I know not everyone feels this way, but I think scrapping potty training is weird too, LOL. That is one of those things that makes me SO glad my mom wasn't a scrapbooker because I would hate having pictures of me doing that out in the world. But I talked to a younger friend of mine who thinks it's totally fine. She figures their whole lives are going to be online anyway and that's just part of it. It's a part of life and she wants to scrap it. We got into a deep philosophical discussion about it. I think it's totally fine to talk about it on a page, or have a "representative" photo or something, but I don't want to see pictures of anyone on the toilet, no matter how old they are. But that's just my own personal issue, I'm sure a lot of people won't want to look at my mouse page because they get freaked out by mice. These are our memories, we can do what we want with them. To each their own. If you want to document that, go for it!

Now cats.... I say bring on the cat layouts! I'd never really seen Sphinx cats before, but after seeing all of Caylynn's layouts I think they're so neat! I kind of want one now.

I love your cats!

Oh, I would have scrapped that mouse too. Not sure I could have or would have taken a photo of it though.

this week. some blue paint rolled off the table and exploded on the floor as the baby [13 months] crawled by...She looked like a Smurf! As I bathed her...big brother age 4 said...Is Sarah now sky blue...

and no photos.

Today...little miss found a marker in a box, got the cap off [red] and drew on her Christmas dress - but only on the white part- again no photos.

I once photo'd my broken foot and the wasp sting to my eye. Both of those were scrapped.

Our whole life is weird so I think I scrap everything that is weird! Life is too short to worry about putting only the "photo-worthy" stuff in the scrapbook.

My son is autistic and you can never tell what obsession will hit him, and when.

He he was about four, and we went to a local Discovery Wildlife centre. They do rescues of many animals, and have had their trained animals featured in many movies.

As as we are wandering my son, who has huge texture issues, spy's some camel fur caught on a fence. He is off in a nano-second under the stay back portion of the fence, to the actual animal fence, grabbing these tufts of camel fur. Terrified me. But actually willingly touching something on his own. He carried those tufts of camel fur everywhere with him. He would communicate his need for more, by pulling out a story book with a camel in it. Communication was so hard for him, this was a huge step forward for him.

The owners were very accommodating giving him tufts of fur. It was in the traditional scrapping days, I got one of those plastic envelopes for baby hair, and placed some of the camel fur in it, and scrapped it.

Weird, really weird, but also to us so very special.

I typically only scrap people but one time I saw a dragonfly in a parking ramp and was inspired by how beautiful and magical it looked, I could not resist!

I take lots of photos of the creatures I see around our house... and we have seen lots of beautifully strange things. I guess that would be weird to some. But I love the page about with the dragonfly. So that's not weird to me.
Ok, I looked through my pages and I guess the weirdest thing was mine and my dear friends blue toe nails. She came to visit me from Texas and we both had blue toe polish.

This thread makes me laugh...mostly because I catch myself taking photos of super weird things, with scrapbook pages in mind to boot! Hahaha! I did a scrapbook page once of my hands when I had a flair-up of Raynauds. Very ugly, weird, but "me"...

I have lot's of strange photos on my phone...if anyone went through my camera roll...they'd be like..."WUT the heck!?!?"

Maybe we need a new challenge?? LOL

What an amazing story!!!

We totally need a challenge for weird things, LOL! If you have any more current weird things, the P52 challenge or Rachel's new challenge would be fun! (And I'm sure Sarah and Rachel would get a kick out of our collective weirdness!)

Well I can say scrapping dishes rank up there as weird. They weren't even mine. I have scrapped an outhouse, an engine, a hole in the ground, a part of the race track wall, clouds, rain, a puddle, a grassy field, a chicken (not mine), some grapes, corn growing, a seat, a pair of shoes, a marble.... well the list could go pretty long but I will let it go here. You can see I scrap weird all the time.
