Just wondering what everyone is doing this summer? We aren't doing much....staycations for us. We have been adding on to our garage....so no vaca for us. We will be going on one next year though.
What's everyone's plans for the summer?

I just plan to stay home and have the grandchildren around me as much as possible... LOL I watch them a lot and enjoy it so much... If I go anywhere this summer it would be to visit my sister for a few days, but for now that's a maybe...

I'm eating up a week of vacay with my son's back surgery. We already snuck out to WI for a five day weekend to visit my sister. Hoping for some family vacation time at the end of summer, but haven't decided on the destination yet. Our local airport just added a low cost, direct flight to Nashville, so right now that is at the top of our list! Has anyone been?

My summer consists mostly of hanging out with my daughter and taking her to band practice then picking her up. I don't get a vacation this year- we're saving up to renovate our bathroom which is nonfunctional right now.

We just had a baby and we’re about to go under contract on our first house, so big life stuff is happening... but no fun excursions. I suspect most of the summer will be spent packing & unpacking, nursing the baby, and wrangling my toddler... and designing of course!

We were going to go to Utah and visit Bryce and Zion Canyons along the way, but we adopted two puppies, and whoops - there went our money! LOL

I hear ya!!! One day I will have some grandbabies and I hope I get to watch them alot. Hope you get to visit your sister!

Oh man, back surgery? I hope all goes well and he has a speedy recovery! I'm really ready for a get away but we are in the middle of a garage add on and it's taking lots of $$ and time. Oh and we have pets. It's so hard to find someone to watch my babies.

I know all about those renovations....after the garage we have a bathroom to do too!!! Always something!!

No vacations planned for us - I used all my time off at work with medical issues. I'll be working, doing schoolwork, and getting ready for Vacation Bible School and the county fair. This fall we may go somewhere for a long weekend depending on where my son applies to college and where he gets accepted (will hopefully either be Boston or Arizona).

I hope you are feeling better Kim! I hope your son gets excepted where he really wants to go. My son will graduate in December and is so ready to be done. I'm hoping that next year we will be able to go somewhere.

My husband got a new job this spring so he didn't get much vacation this year. We're staying at home this summer and doing work with our house. We are planning to sell it in about a year and move to a new location, so we want it to look good!
We're doing day trips though and I love just being home with the dogs, reading and getting together with the kiddos (both have moved to their own places)
