What Would You Do With This Scrapbook?

I am going through my Mom's things and I found this paper scrapbook that my Mom made of our first family vacation in 1966. It is falling apart, fading, and I'm afraid it will degrade more. Would you just take pictures of it in situ, remake it digitally exactly as she had it, or just take it apart and make a digital scrapbook out of modern elements?

I'm torn.

I posted on FB that you saw. Scan, resize to make it work for you. I wouldn't remove the photos if they are stuck down tight, although Un-du is pretty good for releasing things. Definitely preserve her handwriting. If you need tips on that, let me know.

I agree, scan, resize and make it work for you. I might scan, resize smaller and add minimal fun elements around it. It is so worth preserving!!

Scan and copy. I don't know how good they are but there are phone apps you can scan with.

Photomyne is pretty good.

I would high res scan as is, and then resize and make it yours.

I so wish I had kept my Grandmas letters to have her handwriting.

What a treasure! I would scan and resize as well and then add your own flair but it would be lovely to keep your mother's style, especially her handwriting.
