.....favourite challenge?

Which is your favourite one that you complete each month?

Do you regularly complete all the challenges?

Some of them?

Are there any that you never do?

Do you complete them in a specific order or random?

My story:

The first cab off the rank each month for me is the siggie challenge, I usually have it done within the first two or three days of the month along with its matching avi. I thoroughly enjoy creating a new scenario for my little graphic girl each month.

Cant really pick which others are favs, I like them all. The recipe challenge and the mix it up challenge are always interesting and often have me working out of my comfort zone which is good.

So far in the 18 months I have been here, I have managed to complete the necessary 10 challenges to earn the reward, and mostly more than required.

The only ones I have never done are the Desktop challenge and the Project 365 challenge.

Other than the signature challenge always being my first, I do the others in random order (can there be such a thing as "random order" I wonder???:)) and as the inspiration takes me.

Whilst on the subject of challenges, I would like to say that the challenges here are awesome and the BESTEST thing about them is that you can use ANY current designers' kits even their retired products for most of the challenges, and you can even use the Welcome Wagon freebies!!! GO GS!!!

What is YOUR story??

Yes, I mostly complete all or come close to it. On the first of each month I open a tab per challenge and write down the requirements. I use the challenges to inspire me for pages that need to be completed.

Buffet is easiest.

Siggie next.

And then it just depends.

I used to always do the desktop but have gotten away from it as I have my calendars for the year completed and then just add my daughter's work dates [yup - G'ma sitting].

I love the project 52 to get me to scrapping current photos.

Love the fonts.. ok I'm hooked......

So I am fairly new here... this will be my 3rd full month. Unfortunately I haven't yet begun this months challenges... I have a pc issue but finally today it is full resolved. Crossing my fingers it never happens again, but anyway. I have successfully completed at least 10 challenges in the first two months. I got a lot of pages done too! I will probably never do a desktop challenge, I am terrible at project 365, tried it in the past and failed miserably. My favorites are siggie of course, daily download, and templates... I don't do them in any order. I just do what feels right at the time, that is the way I scrap too. If I am not feeling it I won't like the outcome anyway so why bother... Have a wonderful day!

I have been here since October and have finished ten or more every month.

I generally do the signature first, followed by Connie Prince, and the Mini Kit Challenge, the Daily Download and Designer. Other than those five the rest are interchangeable.

I find the Project 365 / Project 52 incredibly difficult because of the 90% requirement, if it was 75 % I'd be fine as I do them every single week, but because I use a Project Life App template they don't qualify.

I don't understand the desktop challenge. Shocking! But what is it? Seriously? I think maybe computer related, and I'm always on a tablet. Maybe?

For the project 365/52, I just post a page in that challenge if the photos were taken that week.
Im not concerned I post one for every day or week because I do not scrap ( or print) that way.

My interpretation of the desktop challenge is that it is designed for you to create a new wallpaper to enjoy each month as your opening screen each time you start up the computer....someone please correct me if that is wrong.

I love the challenges, unfortunately, I have been slacking the past few months! I'm like Michi, the beginning of each month, I'll write down each challenge.

The Buffet is usually the easiest.

I love P52, but I'm always behind, so I try to incorporate the other challenges with it like the mini kit or daily download.

Yes - that is it. Although, I have seen others modify it to be another screen size.

I love the challenges, but do not always do all 10 every month.
I always do the Buffet and love the font and template challenges.
Every month, like Michi and Em, I start the month by writing down all of the challenges to work from and then I will write the LO title when I have done it to check it off.
I do not usually do the desktop. I used to, but found that I didn't use it and would rather spend my time keeping up with my way-behind scrapbooking. On that note, I do not do any challenges unless it fits what I need to scrap. I have the hardest time with challenges where you I would have to make something up. If I don't already have pictures, I usually skip it. Since I am so far behind, I don't usually do P52 since I rarely am up-to-date.
Other challenges I love are the Recipe, Mix-it Up and color

Meagan, that is interesting to hear your thoughts and routines and that you don't do the challenges unless it fits what you need. This is my second digi life having gone into an 18 month hiatus (sulk) after the only digi home I had known died. On this second time around, I scrap more for fun than to keep up with the lives and times of the grandkids and I relish doing the challenges each month. The gkids now range from ages 13 to 23 and there are far fewer photo occasions. So I now go back over old photos, even re-doing some simply for the joy of playing in Photoshop, using the super duper designer products, and creating....of course it makes a difference that I am retired and have plenty of time to scrap. Previously, I would never have scrapped without a story (I pompously turned my nose up at "decorated" photos with no story), I scrapped only the kids, not gardens or views or inanimate objects....I now see the "light" and I am happily scrapping anything and everything, story or no story:).

Em, I have always enjoyed your P52 pages and am in awe of those who regularly do them:)

Like a few of you, I always note down the challenges at the beginning of the month and tick them off when done.

Jill -
I take tons of pics of inanimate objects, flowers and even just the sky and will scrap it. I just have thousands of pictures that already need to be scrapped, so I usually look for challenges that help me to get those scrapped. Sometimes there will be a challenge to scrap something obscure or that I do not have a pic of already - those I skip. Sometimes, I will also skip challenges that do not suit what I am working on (ie a word art challenge that is specific like Mother's Day and I am scrapping Hawaii)

Love the Template Challenge...it is the first one I look at! However, I've been trying to branch out and try new ones and I'm loving it!

Jill, you seriously crack me up:36_1_19: , but i totally get it.

As a font collector (or should I say hoarder!) the font challenge is one of my favourites. I also like the template challenges, the signature challenge, and colour challenge. I normally also do the mix-it-up and inspiration challenges.

The word art challenges and the brush challenge I complete some of the time. Often I find the brushes and/or word art just aren't applicable to anything that I need to scrap, so I skip them. Last year, in July, there was a very American-focussed word art that I had to modify quite a bit to get it to match my needs. I DO appreciate it when the designers realize that not everyone is American!

Since re-joining the world of digital scrapbooking last February, I was getting 10 challenges done every single month up until the past couple of months. I had to study for my professional registration exam throughout March, April, and May, which meant I didn't manage to complete all ten challenges for those months. Then my dad had a stroke in May, and we were travelling to visit him in the hospital every weekend, so I had even less time to scrap.

This month, despite being away at the conference and then falling ill post-conference, I've finally had time to get back into scrapping, so I'm on track to get my ten done this month. It helps that I have lots of photos from my conference and the accompanying trip to scrap, as well as the perfect kit to scrap them with!

Em, I have always enjoyed your P52 pages and am in awe of those who regularly do them:)

Thanks Jill!! I really like to be able to look back and say...hmm, what did we do on June 19, 2015? lol...
My family really likes it, too. They love to see how our year went and it's a great way to include the different events we attend since I'm usually really behind on scrapping them! lol...

I have done at least ten a month since the first month I was here.
I never do the template challenge because I can't use them in the program I use.
I've never done the siggy challenge and the project 365 stuff.

All the rest I have tried. I find the recipe one to be hard since they all want you to use a bunch of paper and flowers. I don't tend to scrap stuff that lends itself to a bunch of flowers.
My favorite is the Back it up challenge since it makes me back up my pages and pictures every month.

I love the challenges here and like most of you I write them down and tick them off as i do them each month. I rarely get 10 done in a month but I do try each month. My favorite is the font challenge. I am a font hoarder but every once in awhile I find a font I don't have and I really love actually using a font I have but never used before.

I also love the Back it up challenge because it has gotten me in the habit of actually backing up my phone and my husbands phone to my pictures folder. Found some really fun photo's on my husbands phone that I need to get scrapped.

My other favorites are the template challenge, Buffet and the Daily Download challenges. It helps to have someplace to start when I do get the time to scrap.
