What is your favourite Halloween memory?

Just thinking with Halloween right around the corner, what is your favourite memory of a Halloween? Include a photo if you like..

This was NOT my favorite but the memory is sweet and sentimental. My cousin and I were born 8 days apart and we were very close friends from birth. Our moms are best friends. One year (maybe about 6-7 years old) we went up to their house for Halloween. I wore a cute homemade clown costume and was so excited to go trick or treating in their neighborhood. We lived in rural farm land so the thought of a real neighborhood to trick or treat in was awesome. Well, a nasty stomach bug hit me hard and I became very sick and throwing up. My sweet cousin took my bag and got it filled for me. I'm sure he was suspicious carrying around 2 bags but bless his heart, he filled it up for me. I remember laying at the top of their stairs looking down to the front door and waiting for them to come back. I was still dressed in my costume but I was so sick and sad. We have a really cute photo of us all, I'll have to try and find it. Sweet memories. My time with this cousin/best friend was cut WAY too short and he was tragically killed in a car accident when we were 16. Even though it's been 27 years since this happened, I still miss him fiercely and treasure the memories I have of him...especially this Halloween memory.

This photo was taken probably a year before he died. We always got so crazy playing the piano together. Gosh I miss him.

This terribly sweet story had me in tears even before I got to the end. I am sure you miss him something fierce; especially after reading just one small story about him.

I love Halloween in general, so I am having a hard time coming up with a favorite story. We have a Halloween party almost every year for our kids, and I love doing that.

There was the blizzard of 1991 on Halloween. We trudged through the snow in our costumes and made a huge haul! I give my dad a huge kudos for taking us!!!!

Every year we had sloppy joes for dinner. My dad always took us out trick-or-treating while my mom stayed home. Now we feed our kids sloppy joes for dinner. However, we always have a big group now that we are back in MN. My husband, my kids, my parents, sometimes the dogs, my brother, his wife, and their two boys. It's so much fun!

Aww Jen...you got me right here.

My fave Halloween memory before kids was when I was in University and I won the costume contest over 300 other girls. I was a first year and mad about WWF. I dressed as Hulk Hogan and made my costume out of things that I had or cheaply bought. My hair was yellow wool poked through a bathing cap. Moustache was also yellow wool and I had balloons stuck in my sleeves for his muscles. It was hysterical and I looked FIERCE! LOLOLOLOL...

I don't have photos because they were film and I have NO idea where they are!

My best Halloween memory after kids, I think were both kids first Halloween. Adam was only 5 months but we dressed him as tigger to match his hair and went to a few neighbours' houses and then to my brother's place. He looked so damn cute.

Isis' first Halloween was when she was still a foster child. She was 10 months and we dressed her up as a pumpkin and she was so cute. Again, no photos because back then, I wasnt' allowed to have any photos of her unless they were taken for her bio mom. But she was the hit of a party we went to.
