Hello Ladies! I have a question for you all, what program do you use to make your layouts, and what are some of the pros and cons, Are you happy with the program, I am looking into buying a new program, and need some help is figuring out what to get, I know they have no perfect program out there, but give me some ideas on what you like and don't like about the program you use... Thanks ladies.... :)

I also use photoshop elements (PSE) I have version 18. I have found a lot of classes, tutorials, and help available on the internet for PSE and the cost is less than the full version of photoshop.

I used PSE for years and really liked it, but last year made the switch to PSCC and really like it. I wouldn't have done it at the original price, but $9.99 month I can handle.....

I use PhotoShop Elements 11. I had upgraded to PSE 15, but it runs SO SLOW - even on the brand new computer I got this past Christmas - so I went back to version 11. I've been afraid to invest in further upgrades because of this, but version 11 works well for me - I love using templates and it has everything I need.

LOL.... I'm a bit unconventional. I use Microsoft Word for scrapping, then Paint to save the image. I can print the image from Word nicely, but printing the image saved from Paint is very grainy. But this works for me :)

I've been using GIMP for years...it's free...can't beat that!

Lynn... That's what I'm using is GIMP, but I updated to the newest one, and when I size things smaller or rotate them it makes them blurry I'm not liking it at all, and they took away a couple features I liked, and don understand why...

Can you tell me what's the differents between the version you use and the full version... I'm leaning towards these...

I use PSE 15 and am upgrading to 18 or 19 for Christmas. I bought a new computer last year and made sure to have the required RAM to run PSE. I think you need a minimum of 8gigs and I have 32gig. :) It is super fast and works perfectly for me. I love that I there are so many options for help with PSE. I love the GS blog tutorials on Tuesdays and there is always the PSE forums at Adobe and oodles of other options for learning what you need. PSE isn't subscription based like the full PS version which is another reason I love it.
Good luck in your search!

I have PSE 15. Heidi...let me know how you like 18. I didn't like some of the upgrades from my the older version I had.

I'm subscribed to Photoshop CC bundled to Lightroom. I like it since I've been using it for years. Before that, I used Photoshop Elements. I also have Affinity on my iPad and I've read in one article that Photoshop CC will become available to iPad by next year.

What is app???

App (short for application) refers to programs for use on your phone or tablet and possibly Windows 10 devices. The Affinity app that Sherri mentioned is only for iphones or ipads. I wish it was available for android devices as I have seen some amazing pages with it.

Thank you, I need something for a laptop, I can"t see well enough to scrap on my phone, and the I pads are kind of small I prefer laptop... This old lady wheres reading glasses... LOL

I use Photoshop CC 2018 and I wouldn't use anything else. I love the Creative Suite and I love that I can customize anything I want, and use pre set actions and styles if I want.

I use (Pse 14). It seems a little out of date as the tutorials are hard to find; but I like the program. I have to see how (Pse 2019) is before I switch.

Photoshop Elements here as well, version 18. I chose Elements over the full version because I couldn't justify the extra cost for my skill level. If I were using it for more than just scrapping, then I might consider it, but PSE does everything I need.
