What do you prefer... themed kits or more general kits?

I'm very much a theme designer because then I can really put what I do well into the creation of a kit. But I always try to have lots of non-theme elements to allow for alternative uses with my kits. What kind of kits do you guys like? Just curious. No matter your answers I will remain a theme designer... LOL.

I like both! Themed kits spark ideas in me quickly, but not every photo or story has a theme, so I like kits that are neutral too. I especially like themed kits that have lots of neutral allies so I can get more than one LO out of a kit.

oh... I like both..... themed kits are really fun to use but as Jen said not every photo has a theme and so I love love if a kit has many more general elements ;-) I need this elements too if I scrap a themed layout

I'm a themed kit scrapper, but I've been known to just pick a kit because of the colors, regardless of the theme.

I love theme!! But I also like how you add neutral goodies, too. This way it could be used for everyday layouts. But your kits are always super packed, there is a lot of everything!! LOVE them!

I like both. I use both. Sometimes the theme doesn't fit my pics, so I have to pick and choose what I can use, so I am always grateful for neutral goodies, too. But, I love when a theme kit fits my pics! (yay for Ocean World!!!)

Definitely themed - but then again you already know that considering I've scrapped with almost everything in your store ;) tee hee!

There are so many "general" kits already out there (or already in my stash) that most often I look for a specific kit! :D

LOVE YOUR WORK!! You are an amazing designer and I'm so glad you came to GS!!

I like themed kits, as long as there are some general pieces in there as well.
Theme kits are PERFECT for Project 52 and such projects, as well as scrapping the big moments :D

I prefer themed kits...especially with lots of fish! hehe

Honestly, I do LOVE themed kits, but with a good allotment of non-themed elements. I love your kits for the variety...you put so much work into them - they are AMAZEBALLS!!!! Thank you!!!!!

I LOVE all kits (HAHA! Can you say hoarder?!!) I especially love your themed kits, Tracey, because they have enough elements that I can easily use them if I want to do a non-themed LO.
Keep making the kits you have been! I love your papers - they are always so bright and have fabulous patterns!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts (and your compliments) and this subject. I will always be a theme designer as for me it is the only way to make a kit truly mine. But I am grateful for some of the wonderful CU specific designers whose work I may alter to fill out a kit - give me more time to work on my drawings. I still spend waaaaay too much time on each kit. LOL

I believe they both have their place. I really appreciate general kits that can be used for multiple purposes but themed kits are so special when they fit with your photos. I think sometimes themed kits can be too specific though so I like when they are broad enough to at least be used for multiple things. For example an outdoorsy kit that could work for hiking, camping, or fishing. Or a medical kit that could be for people, pets or occupational

I love the themes! Even if the theme is a more general one - ie just "fall". I have kits in my stash that I never think to look for since they aren't a theme and I can't put them in a category.

I love them all....but themed kits gets me thinking of pics I have to go with the kit, and then I buy it- instead of using " another blue paper" already in my stash.
however...when I create CT LOs, I love going " off-theme" to show versatility .

General & Seasonal, as I do not get into jumping hoops with holiday hoopla. I do not celebrate holidays, however like the 4th of July, seeing as my dad was into the Air Force.
