What did you do today for exercise?

So I'm a registered dietitian and a certified group fitness instructor. Exercise is an everyday part of my life. My husband and I get up early every morning and one of us gets on the treadmill (as it's winter) and one of us does strength training. The next day we switch.

Today was my treadmill day, so I did a 30 minute run on the treadmill, followed by stretching.

What did you do for exercise today?

Hanging head in shame, I didn't. I need to, I know I need to. But there is always a but. I definitely need help on the food side too.

I'm a faithful gym goer 4x a week. The gym I belong to is strictly group training, strength and cardio moved in a timed rotation. I went this morning at 5:30am for the hour class :)

I have to say the only exercise I am willing to do is to walk. I am not into group activities and I hardly find some time to exercise at home. I am trying to walk a lot, though winter and the cold weather is giving me a hard time and I don't move as much as I'd need to. I am also trying to eat better but sometimes the cravings is stronger then my will.. I definitely need to take of a few kilos so I am trying to move more and I can't wait till Spring starts - I will be out more :).
Today I didn't do anything at all though.. Just stuff around kids and household, which probably does not count, right? :D

oooh I'm missing my elliptical time today. I'm on the couch stuck with a stupid head cold. I can't stand without being dizzy. No elliptical we are missing our date today. Tomorrow though. (hopefully)

Yoga EVERY day for 30 minutes - been doing this for years and if I miss it for some reason (very rare), I feel horrible for the day. I also do free weights every day in a rotation and hit the treadmill for a while each day in the winter (except for weekends because I'm usually skiing). In the summer I hike a lot in the mountains here (Appalachian Trail).

Weight machine every weekday and 20 miles on the exercise bike each day Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I'm a couch potato on the weekends during the winter.

It's so beautiful out there today - sunny and +8℃ that my husband and I ran outside for the first time since early December. It was nice to pound the pavement again instead of running on the treadmill!

I do Leslie Sansome's Walk Away the Pounds DVD, it combines walking in place, knee lifts, kicks, and more. 30 minutes/2 miles!
