What Book is Everyone Gifting?

Last year for Christmas, a colleague bought everyone in the office the new Michelle Obama book. What a great idea!

What is one book you would gift to anyone?

For me, it is Educated. I read it this year and it was amazing. The kind of read that I think anyone and everyone should/would read.

I don't typically gift books but I have had Educated on my want to read list for quite some time now. Looking forward to reading the responses.

Educated was a pretty amazing book - even more so when you listen to her interviews on YouTube. Right after I read the book, I did some research and found her real family and a little bit more about the controversy. It was fascinating to read other points of view on what she had written by various family members, including those she was still in contact with. It is a great read.

I would have trouble gifting a single book to more than one person but I think it would be:
Becoming Mrs. Lewis by Patti Callahan.

I love CS Lewis and this is such an interesting look behind the scenes. It is written as a fiction, but has the approval of Joy Davidman's son. I could not put it down and it touched me so much.

My other highly recommended reads would be:
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaeda Patrick

Hey Lynnie, I just came across this post...

I have read this book The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce and it was awesome.

I will have to look up the other one, always looking for new books that are recommended!
