What Are Your Valentine Plans?

I'm still having issues with my inner ear so probably just laying on the couch and taking it easy like the last week. The tinnitus is really hard to deal with.

It's going to suck really lol. I couldn't even ge my kiddos anything..:(

No big plans. We went over to LA to watch the US Olympic Marathon Trials, and they were playing Lady and the Tramp at the El Capitan. That was my v-day present. BUT, I bought my husband tickets to see Lewis Black for his present. He hasn't opened it yet.

Valentine's is just another day in our household. When DH was alive we would do something silly for each other but never made a big deal about it then. Cheyanne has been at a friend's all day and I've been cooking our meals for the week and scrapping. I'm one of those cynics who definitely thinks it's a holiday for retailers to make money ;)

We made a "fancy" dinner at home. Herb steak, garlic butter shrimp, baked sweet potato wedges, brown sugar & molasses carrots. It was fabulous cooking with my sweetheart. <3

We kept it very low key this year. I wanted mexican food for lunch using a gift card we got for Christmas (ended up only being $5 over what was on the gift card plus leaving a tip of course) and then we went to our local pub for dinner. Super laid back and it was kinda nice not to have to fight the crowds of people.

After Church the girls I teach had a bake sale and then I had lunch with a friend because it was her birthday. After that I came home for a bit and spent time with my youngest son (my oldest having ditched me to spend the day with his cousin.) Went back to Church for evening service and that's that.
