Very first digi layout...

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I was chatting with a friend (Hi Jen.. hclappy) and realized tomorrow, 7/28, is my nine year digi anniversary. It all started right here at Gingerscraps when they were hosting a Christmas in July event.

That being said.. let's see your first digi layout or first upload here at GS... xoxo...♥

I found my way here when I was accepted to Colie's Corner's CT - hence my first layout here is made with her stuff. I have no idea if she's still designing or not - I have had a hiatus from digiscrapping between about 2015 to 2021. Not even sure how long I was on her team. Anyway - here's my layout - posted in September 2011:

Translation of the journaling:
I love reading crime stories, and my all-time favorite is Mons Kallengtoft. His novels about Malin Fors are totally out-standing. The cases are spectacular and the solution is never obvious. Malin Fors is a intriguing person with a private life that is all but simple. Also, Kallentoft writes in a wonderful style. His way to use the language is so different from other crime authors. It's almost like poetry painted on canvas. Right now I'm impatiently waiting for my turn in the queue at the library for his latest novel: "The Fifth Season". It's annoying how slow everyone else is reading!

This is my first page uploaded in May 2014. I was CTM for Kathryn Estry. She is still designing but sells only at MyMemories. I'm not on her team anymore.

I also love reading crime stories. I looked at internet and his books are also translated in Dutch. I wrote the name down and the next time I go to the library I hope they will have one of his books! Thanks for the tip!

Yvonne, if you find it, the first book (I think the Dutch title is "Midwinterbloed") is the best.

It's always fun to look back and see how our styles change with time. Here's my first page from back in 2013.

Here is my first digi-layout posted, August 2016, but I know there are ones older than that, maybe back to 2013 or so. I think I did a purge awhile back.

I found Ginger Scraps when my current digi-store closed - but Lori & Heidi are here now selling their wonderful kits again here at GS for some time now. Yah, Scraps N Pieces!

It sure is fun looking at your old layouts and see how far you have come. I am in the midst of taking apart all my paper scrapped books and re-doing them digital. They are almost all ones for my grand-daughter or vacations. A smaller digi-version makes more sense while I downsize everything else.

Eek, this is one of my very first ones. I think it was for a speed scrap at the old ScrapMatters, probably 2008. Hadn't even learned shadows yet.

This is my first LO here at GS posted in January 2016. Previous to that I was a member at DSP, now closed, for 10 years. I remember posting my very first digi LO there and I remember the euphoria of receiving comments on it (it received 8 lovely comments). I still feel the buzz whenever I get a comment on my LOs.

Oh yay!!! I'm so glad you started this, Em! Love seeing everyone's old pages! And happy Digi-versary!!!!!!!

This is the very first LO I ever uploaded to a scrappy site (Brownie Scraps maybe?) I think it was for a template challenge. I actually really love this LO. I still like scrapping weird random things like 70's wallpaper.

I am actually amazed that the font was legible. My sister and I were looking through my old 2010 scrapbook a few months ago and I can barely read half of the journaling. 2010 Jen made some terrible font choices....

Oh wow... talk about your trip down memory lane!

I completed my first digital scrapbook page back in 2005 as a part of a challenge for Creating Keepsakes. Creating Keepsakes was a very popular scrapbooking magazine, and they did scrapbooking conventions for a couple of years. One of my dear friends and I would take time off of work, get matching shirts, and would go ALL out for the convention. What a blast! I remember leaving those conventions with twice the amount of supplies when I walked in, and how excited I would get to meet their talented and (in my eyes) famous designers! Ha! One year, they offered a digitial challenge. I was already very familiar with PhotoShop since I used that for work, and so I thought I'd give it a tryl Here is the page:
