I’m really sorry you’ve been running into trouble with the gallery. Here’s a quick rundown of how it works and why you’re seeing that error:
The gallery counts each category you assign to a layout (LO) as a separate upload. For example, if you upload two layouts and assign each one to three categories, and then add another layout with two categories, you’ll have hit the daily limit of 8 uploads.
I know this setup can be a bit confusing, but it’s in place for a reason. Without the limit, we tend to see users uploading tons of layouts—sometimes just for CT requirements for non-GS designers or even using the gallery as storage. That can clutter things up quickly and take away from the organized, creative space we all love. The daily limit helps keep things running smoothly for everyone.
Hopefully since you know about the category (counting as an upload) you can tailor your uploads to work however you need them to.
Also, keep in mind the "clock" resets based on your last upload, not the date on the calendar. So if you uploaded you max allowed at 5pm, you have to wait 24hours (past 5pm the next day).
