Hello, all! I have been a traditional scrapbooker for many, many years and still love it. However, it is getting harder and harder to find the the things I need for each page. So I am making the switch to Hybrid and possibly entirely digital. I don't know yet. I don't like change. But welcome any tips and advice.

Hello and welcome Nikki! I scrapped with paper, buttons, etc, during years, then I discovered digital and nowadays basically I have scrapped just in digital, maybe some projects like cards I still make in traditional. No matter what you'd do, just remember to have fun, that's basic.
 
Welcome to the club!!!! I made the switch a few years ago because my girls were all 5 and under and logistically it was IMPOSSIBLE to keep all the little pieces that go into traditional scrapbooking available. I still have an outlying traditional book I'm working on and I'm going to traditionally scrap our family photos each year as I take them down off the wall. Overall I am so happy with digital. My favorite part is that once I use something it isn't gone forever! And the cost of the kits is way more affordable for me. I just look for things that look "real". Those are the designers I gravitate towards. Oh and Templates will be your best friend :)

I switched from paper to digital for the same reason as you. Trying to find NASCAR or Men's tennis stuff was impossible. When I discovered Digital I was hooked. I can do it anywhere I can use my laptop so I don't have to carve out an hour at a time to scrap. I can do ten minutes while I'm waiting for my pasta water to boil, or while waiting at a scout meeting.
As someone else said, being able to reuse, reshape, crop and recolor stuff makes it so much cheaper than paper ever was. Plus, if you don't like it after a few days you just delete what you don't like and fix it. No tearing apart an entire page cause you found a better background paper.

I did traditional for years (and still have SO MUCH STUFF!!!!) and I started digital in order to make journal cards I could print as photos and mount to my pages. Didn't take long before I was doing cool things with the photos before printing, and then using digital elements I'd cut from the photos to mount, and finally just created the whole layout and printed pages to slide into albums. those albums were SO thick compared to the ones I make now!!!!

I was part of the paper scrappers club, really into it teaching classes at local meets and Scrapbook Conventions. I still have oodles of stuff, which helped the kids for school art projects. I started digi scrapping when I would teach classes and need to make 100 journal cards or other paper embellies. From then on...I was hooked!
 
Hi Nikki! Welcome to GS! I was a paper scrapper, too. I still like working with my hands sometimes, but I REALLY like that there is no mess to clean up when I am finished.
 
Welcome! Way back when I started paper scrapbooking, but then once I had kids I gave up on it due to the cost of all the little stuff, and the fact the kids would always get into it, plus of course the amount of time spent on kids and work and everything else made it virtually impossible. I just discovered digital scrapping, and I'm excited to be finding a creative outlet again that I can work on as I have time.
 
Welcome to the wonderful world of digi and GingerScraps. I too - was a paper scrapper with more supplies than some stores. I slowly made the transition by adding digitally printed titles and journaling. Then one thing led to another. I've scrapped some books that were part digital and part paper [cuz I had the paper supplies.]-
I am happily digital and do not plan to return. Ask any questions that might arise. There is always someone around to assist.
I use Adobe products.
