? Tips on creating photo wall

I moved my office around, got rid of some furniture and now have a big old desk that I am loving with all the drawers and slide outs. So I am looking at a blank wall space that I am going to fill up with a combination of various black framed 12x12 LOs and photos. I may put up a bit of wall art too. The space I'm filling up is roughly 10' x 5'. I shopped at Michaels yesterday and came home with 8 frames, hubs bought another 7 online for me last night on FB marketplace. The 16 x 18 (which has 16 cutouts for phone pics) will go directly above my desk and the rest will be scattered all around that. I need to start looking thru photos to figure out what to get printed for the frames. This is going to be fun. I've printed and displayed a few LOs and photos before but never a multitude like this.

Anyone else done a photo wall? Any tips or suggestions? Any advice, good or bad, about how to do this?

I know I'll start laying down the frames on the floor to create my design before mounting on the wall. Other than that, I have no idea what to do.

Thx Lily Ann ... the links are helpful. So many ideas. I'm excited to put this together. It's going to take me forever though to figure out what LOs and photos to get printed LOL.

I used graph paper to lay mine out to scale first and cut out squares, rectangles, etc to use. I did look for a couple of other things to include - an arrow, a word art canvas, a compass, then moved things around until I was happy with the layout.

When you do it - if you have issues keeping the frames straight, I highly recommend earthquake putty.

No tips here - I've got a gallery wall and just played around with things until I liked it ... there are LOTS of holes behind each piece! LOL!
