Thankful today for....

Let's try to pop in here every day or so this month and post something you are thankful for that day. I want to try to focus on positivity, no matter how big or small it may be. Life is crazy right now and scary, so taking a moment to think of something uplifting, happy, calming, something you look forward to, it can be anything at all that you are....

THANKFUL TODAY FOR....

My animals.

Taz and Noel demand my attention, demand some cuddles and love and give it back in return. I am so thankful for both of them to cheer me up every day and make me laugh numerous times.

With all the negativity that is going on in the world, I think this thread is a great idea! We need some positive postings! Stating something we are thankful for definitely helps bring some positive vibes flowing.
I am so thankful that my family went on a hike yesterday. We finally got out into some fresh air and enjoyed some beautiful views and nature.

Thankful today for my cat, Miss Kitty. She has Stage 3 Kidney failure and we're not sure how much longer she'll be with us. She started new medicine yesterday and has eaten more today than she has in the past 4 days, which is so great! It's a rollercoaster time for our family, so I'm happy to have a small victory right now :)

I am thankful for music in our lives. Philip struggles in his major subjects and tonight he received two awards, one for All County Chorus and a scholarship (probably $150) given to a graduating 8th grader in Chorus. If it wasn't for music, he probably wouldn't receive any awards and just seeing the smile on his face after it was announced was magical!

What a great idea, Rae!

I love my animals too.... as someone who NEVER imagined myself as a cat person, I am so thankful for my 2. My Gizmo is especially cuddly.
Jamie - now that summer is almost here for me, I definitely want to get out hiking. I'm going to try to forget about all the hiking I was supposed to do in the Grand Canyon.... *sigh*
Jen - hugs to you! I hope Miss Kitty keeps on hanging in there. <3
Lily Ann - cheers to Philip! Music is awesome!

I'm thankful that I'm staying quite busy with my little craft business I started last summer. Lots of ideas for summer projects!

Today I am thankful for my morning coffee.

I have finally put together a blend that I really like. I mix 1 part decaf, 2 parts Nabob and 2 scoops of Starbucks blend. This is just the right flavor and slightly decaf so I don't feel guilty drinking 4-5 cups of it in the early part of the day.

Great idea, Rae! I'm grateful for the time off of work, I'm getting. It's nice to have some down time (even if it is for recovery time). I'm catching up on the forums.

We started work last week and opened the store yesterday. Today was super busy but great. We got to help a lot of people get things they need at the Deseret Industry store.

Today I am thankful for:
* A sunny morning
* A large front window so I can look out and enjoy the view
* A cup of coffee
* Tucker, our Bichon. He has been a part of our family for 14 years ago yesterday and he is mostly deaf now, and is my constant fluffy companion.

I'm thankful that Philip has completed the semester today. Monday is item drop offs and pick ups. Friday is a drive by to drop of graduation stuff and Friday night is graduation, virtually off course.

Today, I'm thankful that tomorrow is the last day of school for my students. I'm so mentally exhausted.

I am grateful for my friend, Pam. We walk every day and enjoy time. We have been walking since the beginning of APril and only missed a few days.

Today I am thankful for....

my hobbies (scrapping and photography)

I was chatting with a neighbor yesterday who told me how unhappy he is, every day he feels this way since retiring two yrs ago. We chatted for a long time about hobbies and ideas on how to change his life, to bring some joy back into it. I feel so bad for him and hope that he starts to make some changes.

I am so grateful for the hobbies that bring me joy every day. I never get bored. If I feel stressed or overwhelmed with life, I go for a walk, take photos and then get to come home and create layouts. It is my therapy.

Today, I am thankful that my youngest son (19) recognized how lazy he had been all day (while I was working my butt off on my side business) and then he did a bunch of stuff this evening. I love it when they take responsibility instead of me having to harp on them! :)

I am grateful for online church. I don’t get to see my friends there, but I surely do get to sing and hear a great sermon!
