Text Talk - LETTERPRESS!

Love this! I have been searching around and can't seem to find if there is a tutorial for text on distressed or textured papers. I love to use textured papers for my text boxes and I can't seem to get my text to look right when the paper is textured. Are there any tutorials out there? Any ideas on how to make it look better?

I recently learned a technique that lets your text pick up the texture of the paper it is "printed" on.
Duplicate the paper/tag/label the text is resting on.
Move the duplicated paper above the text layer
Desaturate the duplicated paper layer
Clip the desaturated paper to the text
Change the blend mode of the clipped desaturated paper to Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light Linear Light or Vivid Light.
The better blend mode may be dependent on the text color. The different blend modes will alter the original color of the text but you can tweak this with a Levels adjustment to the desaturated paper.
