Hey lovely ladies - Colleen & I have been wondering how many scrappers out there use .page files for their scrapping!! For those of you who don't know us, we recently opened up our template shop (Dear Friends Designs*) here at GS!! So we started off including TIFF, PSD, and PNGs, but then had a request for page files, so we've started adding them to our store as well!! We're just wondering if its worth taking the time to make them!! :D Thanks for your input!

Re: Page Files?

i now use tiff files, but up until 2-3 months ago i used to use page files. There is a lot of page file users.

I am a .page user. Love, love, love my Artisan program. In fact, if .page files are not offered I will not purchase the template no matter how much I love it.

They are for completely different programs.
Those that use .page use programs like Storybook Creator (SBC), Artisan, Panstoria, and I think a few others. They cannot even open tiff files.

I have never used them.... what's the difference between page and TIFF files?

I use .page templates and would be very happy to have them available.

all I use is .page - Love the Artisan / Panstoria program and would love to see more templates for it.

I am an Artisan user and have no intention of ever switching. Yes, I do use .page format and don't even look at templates that are not in that format. Please make them available. There are lots of us out here who may not see this poll. Thanks

Thank you for all your input - I'm seeing that there are more out there that use the files than I realize it!!

See this Meagan - you have your work cut out for you ;)

Rough count 7 items in our store do NOT have page files (yet), but 15 of them DO!! So we're working on it (Thanks again Meagan!!!)

I'm so glad we did this poll - I had NO idea page files were so common!!

I voted tiff, but I also use psd as well.
psd save faster....
tiff saves smaller.
i try to save as much hard drive space as I can.

I cannot use .page files but I do know that there are many out there that do. For me, it is .psd or .png.

I use the Panstoria Artisan program, so it's strictly .page files for me. I love your Nifty 50 Templates that you have started making in .page files. I'll be very disappointed if you stop making the .page format.

.PSD only for me. I'm a Photoshop elements user and always will be. I should consider using tiff as it saves space but I do like all the layers of a psd

Me too Jen. I just recently switched over to TIFF. They still have all the layers, unless there's some other difference that I'm not aware of.

TIFF saves in just as many layers as PSD. I used to use PSD, but I only use TIFFs. :)

Is there any advantage to using psd over tiff? I've heard tiff saves space, but I've always used psd since that's what I started with.

I used to use PSD then read that TIFF takes up less space. I've used TIFF for quite a few years now. I don't notice any difference in printing or saving time or anything with the switch. I haven't even payed much attention to whether or not TIFFs use less space. HAHA The one nice thing I've noticed is that a few photo book sites will accept TIFF files for uploading, so that's nice! ;)

Another Artisan user here, so .page files. I also own PSE AND know how to scrap with it, but prefer to use Artisan. It's just so much easier and user-friendly.
