Take me away from the troubles of life!

Does anyone else find that scrapping or crafting takes away the troubles of life for a little while? I am not sure if it is a period of healing or being an ostrich with my head stuck in the sand for a while, but it sure helps me!

It helps me too, though it does give me a certain kind of stress- but it's a good kind of stress that makes me productive. If that makes any sense . . .

Same here! Keeping up this week with Survivor is more stress than I had planned on, but I'm hanging in there...

I love scrapping because it makes me remember the fun times with the family. I take a lot of photos when we're together so they last until we're together again!! But then, sometimes I forget to take photos!! can you believe that??

I can totally believe that! I forget to take photos all the time!

I have always loved crafting. I am behind on getting pages printed or books completed.
I'm behind on scanning older photos.

shoot- behind on a lot of things.

Michelle, I'm behind too, but that is ok. If I ever got caught up, and scrapped all my photos, I'd be sad because I wouldn't have anything to do!! We found out a couple of days ago, that one of my older granddaughters (22 years old) is going to be getting married!! I can't believe my GRANDCHILDREN are getting to an age to get married!! I'm so excited!! Not sure WHEN she's going to get married, they just became engaged over the weekend!!

I don't know if it takes me away like Calgon or anything, but it does let the creative side of me come out and play. I like color and working with color.... plus it's less messy than paper scrapping!

It is totally a stress release for me! I don't print my pages, I just scrap for fun mostly (And because I love the challenges here!) So I use it as a way to de-compress and of course to share my memories with friends and family.
I also use my scrap pages as my Screen Saver and wallpaper on my laptop at my office so my co-workers get to see my "mad skills" lol

Way less messy :) Although there is a satisfaction in getting your hands messy :)

I use mine as a screen saver too. In fact, I have gone one step further and scrapped a bunch of motivational screen saver layouts.

I use my scrap time as escapism. I need it, I really do.

Me, too. I love those days when it takes me out of my world for hours and hours.
