Surgery...

Surgery went well, they did a total knee replacement. ... Will be in the hospital for at least a couple of days. Therapy came in and I was standing and took a few steps forward and backward just three hours after surgery. Most of the anesthesia has worn off, but foot is still somewhat numb on the knee they worked on. If all goes well it should be all worn off by morning.

Did you get plates in your knee? I think my uncle has titanium in his knee? I forgot what he said before.
 
Em, I think they said mine was titanium also. They did a total knee replacement. Haven't slept for a couple nights...
Night before surgery, I think it was mostly anxiety, not knowing what to expect. Last night, had my knee on my mind. Nurses and therapy (PT) said I was a model patient... :) Still have quite a bit of numbness in my shin on the operative side... Possibly going home tomorrow.
 
Just seeing this. Glad the surgery went well and that you are on your road to recovery and hopefully will be much more mobile and pain free with that new knee! Keep up with the PT and anything else the doctors ask. They sometimes know what they are talking about ;)
