Super Old Layouts

I was looking through my Smugmug account at all my old layouts. Like super old some I don't even know where the kits came from others the shops have since closed their doors. But I have 1 layout that I just always love even in it's years. Thought I would share it with you all and hopefully you will all share your most Favorite "OLD" layout with me too. Here it goes.

I love all those clouds you used in your "old" page.
Here is my very first page (2010) and I still love it. But I would redo the shadowing.
I only know the word art is by Word Art World. It was my first attempt at trying to get on a CT.
I was turned down, lol.

I just love seeing these older layouts. Thanks so much for sharing ladies. Its amazing to see how far we have come.

Even though this grandchild is now in his early 20's, this LO isn't super super old...maybe from a couple of years before I started here at GS, but it is one that I had stored online (Pinterest) before my previous site closed down and provided easy access for the purpose of this thread rather than scrolling through numerous ehds or cds. It still makes me giggle whenever I come across it.

It's the Little Things
My absolute favourite is not in my gallery, but this will do. I picked this one from when I was on CT at another site (since closed). The designer was one of my absolute favourites. Sadly, she died a year or so ago and I really miss her!

This is my very first layout that I posted at GS - dated January 12, 2012, using Creative Memories sbcStudio for Mac. It was a horrible program not compatible with any templates. The shadowing was horrible and if you tilted or flipped a spot, it got blurry. So, not really my favorite layout, but it was a start to better things to come.

This is my all time fave "old layout" (and it's not from the beginning of time for me, so it's a lot better than my earlier LOs!). Created with April Promise by AnnKa Studios (no longer with us) - in this case, the photo really made the LO.

Looking through old pages...ahhhhh! This is one from 2009. I think this is one of the earliest pages I did that was uploaded into an online gallery, I think I had been digi scrapping for about 2 years at this point. I have no idea what supplies or store I put it in, pretty sure they don't exist anymore. I think it was shortly after this page that I was picked up for my first CT job at a store I cannot even remember anymore. This daughter is now 12! What a blast from the past. I'm super glad I archived all my first layouts to a hardrive because they were embarrassing...super HUGE buttons, crazy shadows.

This is my very first digi layout, created for the Christmas in July event here at GS, back in July 2012. Like some have mentioned above... the shadowing needs help, lol! I guess my style is similar, except I use less PP now :)

I can't access the oldest layout I made in March 2011 from my blog because photobucket happened. But here's one from scrapbook.com that I managed to upload from September 2011 and I don't even know how to credit! I was still new to photoshop then and I was still using gimp, I think. Learning the art of shadowing and the horrible clustering hehe And see? I don't even know how to put a title!

Why can't we see your layout (at least I can't!) I thought I could a few days back!

Oldest LO still here at GS.I was a member a couple years prior. Not sure where they went.

Wow thanks so much for sharing everyone, it's so fun to see these old layouts and all the progress everyone has made and how some of us have still kept similar styles but just enhanced our abilities!

I think this is literally the 6th page I ever did. My first grandson was born in April of 2009. I'd discovered digi scrapping, had been using PSE for a few years for photo editing. Found the tutorials at my first digi home terribly confusing and scrapping really wasn't fun, home 2 is where I really learned to use PSE and now Photoshop and I still take classes...well, I buy them I'm a bit behind doing them :).

The lovely lady in the pic is my last surviving aunt, my mom's sister, always dressed to the nines and 97 at the time. The baptismal gown my grandson is wearing was made by my grandmother for my mother's oldest sibling. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's the same one my sibs & I were baptized in.

This photo was taken 2 weeks ago, he'll be 9 in April and she will be 102 in May. A year and a half ago she decided she didn't want to live in her house by herself anymore. A widow for almost 40 years, she's buried and a son and a son in law and all of her siblings. Her vision is poor, but other than that, still a fox.

Seeing this thread took me back down memory lane, made me think I must go back and print all those old memories - it this not what scrapbooking is all about? I stopped at this one, from 2004, that little cherub featuring on a page telling the story of his fuzzy friends, is now a very grown up 15 year old :)

Here's two of my first pages (2006) - I remember AGONIZING over the placement of the heart cluster on the bottom right! I felt I was getting "too busy". LOLOLOL

I made this one as a "Please take me on your CT" layout for Gina Cabrera...and it got me a Guest CT! :)

This one is more indicative of what I did scrap like then - I was a Cathy Zielske clean scrapper.

I found an old scrapbook where I started documenting my daughter's purses as she was addicted to them as a small child.

So cute!!
