is anyone else lookin forward to summer vacations? Excited to visit the beach in Cali and later in the year a trip to Yellowstone. Where are you all headed this summer?

My sons have summer camp planned but other then a weekend get away for myself and my boyfriend to celebrate out birthdays (which are a week apart) in May I have no plans this year.
I'm just looking forward to them being out of school for the summer because, oddly enough, it means a calmer schedule!! lol

I totally cannot wait until summer! It has been such a busy year with 2 of my kiddos graduating.

The first weekend of June we will head to Disney with some of my daughter's classmates. Kind of like a graduation trip.
Other than that, we will stay local and get ready for my first born to move to college :( :( :(

We don't usually plan a summer vacation - we live in Vacationland so we usually stay in state during the summer and do day trips and sometimes an overnight trip. We also have our camp on the lake so we'll spend a lot of the summer there. We vacation in the winter when the weather is crappy here at home :hysterical: Cheyanne will be working 2 jobs over the summer and volunteering at The Ronald McDonald House so those are her commitments for this summer. We have 2 last college tours to do and we'll go to our favorite haunts over the summer (Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and our favorite places to do day hikes).

We take one trip to the ocean every year. Other than that we camp close to home because we have milk cows and no one to milk them while we are gone We are lucky to live in the foothills of the cascades here in Washington, so no need to go far for God's beauty!

I leave Wednesday for my brother's wedding and then on to Hong Kong until May 20! Two weeks later our family will be on our way to Belize! YES YES YES, I am so excited for summer vacation plans!

Not sure about a big vacation, but we are planning to take our son to Louisville to see the Louisville Slugger Museum and get him a personalized bat. We will also (I Hope) get to the Mega Carvern for the underground zip lines. The trip is to celebrate his all A's for 5 years straight. $10 in a card just didn't seem to be enough, lol.

you will love the museum, we did it a few years ago on a driving trip at spring break. i would also recommend the corvette museum in bowling green if that's on your route

my son's boy scout troop did the mega cavern in march (he didn't get to go because of a schedule conflict with hockey ) but they all loved it.

i can also recommend the cavern that is near mammoth cave- we did mammoth on the way down and that on the way back. very different experiences because mammoth is dry and that one is wet (way more stalagtites & stalagmites)

we may head to Henry Ford museum in MI, headed to my inlaws in Door County for a long weekend over Memorial Day and then we may do a driving trip to see my brother in law at his new house in Denver and hit a few natl parks. just want to relax and get in some golf and family time mainly

We already had a short trip to Charleston last month, and we are planning a trip to Niagara Falls on Friday. We're hoping to take a few long weekend trips instead of a longer vacation this year. We might make it to the beach in the fall.

I'm super excited for this summer, but we are actually not planning a big vacation! Usually we have a super packed summer filled with lots of camping trips, camps for the kids, swim lessons, etc. It seems we are always super busy. This year we are going minimal and just going to probably camp locally and swim A LOT. I'm super excited to just have more relax time where I don't have to worry about where we have to be next!
